Since our founding in 2015, more than 550 children have received the "Diploma de Delicias de Alicia", completing a course of 6 free cooking and nutrition classes.

how does it work

The classes are groups of 40 children, from 8 to 12 years old. We carry out the classes in kitchens, NGO headquarters and cultural centres on Saturday mornings, and each course consists of 6 classes that are 2.5 hours long.

the workshops

We teach the value of a balanced diet through children’s cooking classes, which are practical and fun and use low cost and easy recipes.

the classes

We aim to offer children the opportunity to learn the importance of eating more fruits and vegetables and fewer processed foods. The classes that we offer are free and for children from 8 to 12 years of age, in kitchens and cultural centres in CABA, Buenos Aires. They are based around practical cooking, making simple recipes with easily accessible recipes.

Since our founding in 2015, more than 550 children have received the “Diploma de Delicias de Alicia”, completing the course of 6 classes.

As well as cooking, the children fill out a little Delicias de Alicia book, which teaches them more about the value of nutrition, how to treat water and good practices of hygiene in the kitchen.

our mission

Our goal is to help children and communities, who are living below the poverty line, to make the best choices to ensure a balanced and healthy diet. We want young people to be able to increase their employment, learning and development opportunities, to break the poverty cycle. To bring this to fruition, children have to eat healthy food to nourish their young minds.

what we do

Since 2015, we have been working to give children the opportunity to learn the value of a balanced diet, offering free cooking and nutrition workshops in deprived neighbourhoods.

Our work is self-financed by the earnings of our restaurant and catering service, that offers natural food with a sustainable service.

100% of the earnings of our catering service go towards the workshops that we carry out.
